Why people pirate…

Ok it’s not the only reason but it’s one nonetheless.

Availability.

I found myself yesterday actively looking for the latest Tim Ferriss book via less than reputable channels.

Why?

Because I couldn’t get it on Kindle/iBooks. I had cash ready, Kindle software installed and was ready to part with my money and line me Ferriss’ pockets.

But I couldn’t.

The UK Amazon store didn’t list the “4-Hour Body” as available for Kindle, the US store would let me view the Kindle page but I couldn’t buy it and nothing on iBooks or other eBook download.

With no other means to get hold of it as an e-book I searched for copies via Google and guess what, I found some.

We live in an impatient age. If we can’t get what we want now we look somewhere else or for something else to fill that need.

Fact is when Mr Ferriss decides to make his book available in the UK Kindle store/iBooks/eBook I’ll buy it. Hell when I get home I’ll even buy the physical copy If I still can’t get the Kindle version.

For now though I’m sure many people like me will be looking for it online and some may even go so far as to illegally download it.

Arrrrgggghhhh.
